Laura Doolin has over thirty years of experience in both the hospital and private practice setting. As a consultant with Strategic Solutions, Laura’s areas of expertise include strategic planning, Patient-Centered Medical Home development, MIPS, Quality Programs, Business Plan development, benchmarking and data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
With an undergraduate degree in Sociology from SUNY-Albany and an MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College, she began her healthcare career as a healthcare planner for a small hospital in Delaware County, where she assisted the hospital in changing its role from an acute-care facility to a skilled nursing facility.
From there she went on to a 440-bed hospital, starting as a planner and moving up to Assistant Vice-president for Planning and Program Development. In this position, she was responsible for CON development, new program development and marketing, and departmental business planning, as well as supporting the hospital strategic planning and marketing efforts.
Prior to starting Strategic Solutions, Laura was responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive multi-specialty women’s health center.
